More judges have been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari for the Court of Appeal and the Federal High Court.
Twelve of the judicial officers are for the Court of Appeal, nine for Federal High Court and seven for the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory.
They were appointed by the President on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
The justices for the Court of Appeal are P. A. Mahmoud, F. O. Ojo, I. A. Andenyangsto, G. O. Kolawole, B. B. Aliyu, Ebiowei Tobi, J. G. Abundaga, A. S. Umar, A. M. Talba, (A. M. Bayero, (A. M. Lamido, and M. B. Idris.
Those for the Federal High Court areSunday Bassey Onu. Adefunmilola Adekemi Demi-Ajayi, Peter O. Lifu, Obiora Atuegwu Egwuata, Sa’adatu Ibrahim Mark (Mrs), Mobolaji Olubukola Olajuwon, Aminu Bappa Aliyu, Tijjani Garba Ringim, and Nkeonye Evelyn Maha
The seven judges for the FCT High Court are Binta Mohammed, Modupe Osho-Adebiyi, Gaba Venchak Simon, Babangida Hassan, Akobi Iyabeni Anna, Samirah Umar Bature, and Asmau Akanbi Yusuf
The Justices of the Court of Appeal will be sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) and Chairman of NJC, Justice Walter Onnoghen, tomorrow by 10.00 am.
Those appointed for the Federal High Court will be sworn-in on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 2.00 pm, while judges for the FCT High Court are to be sworn-in on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 by 2.00 pm at the Main Hall of the Court Room of the Supreme Court in Abuja.
